Adding a new Post<\/h3>\n

  1. To add a new post, login as an editor, author or contributer.\u00a0 Click for more information on these roles.<\/li>\n
  2. Under the the posts section under your dashboard, go to ‘Add New’<\/li>\n
  3. A post has a title, content, excerpt, categories, tags, and different options based on the plugins available.<\/li>\n
  4. Enter a title and add the content for your post.\u00a0 At default, each post under the News section\u00a0 shows the whole content of the post.\u00a0 If you only want to show the first introductory paragraph in the ‘News’ section followed by a ‘Read more…’ link, then you have to add the more tag<\/a> to the post.<\/li>\n
  5. Under the discussion section, specify whether you want people to be allowed to add comments to your post.\u00a0 These can be used for discussion of posts.<\/li>\n
  6. Under the Sociable section, specify whether you want this post to be addable to social networking sites, such as facebook.com or digg.com.<\/li>\n
  7. Under the Subscribe2 section, specify whether you want to notify all your subscribers when the new post gets published.<\/li>\n
  8. In the Tags section, you can specify some tags<\/a> that would describe the content of your post.<\/li>\n
  9. In the Categories section, select a category<\/a> for your post.\u00a0 Categories can only be added by Administrators<\/a> or Editors<\/a>.\u00a0 If your post\u00a0 links to a publication, you should select the ‘Publications’ category for your post to be visible under the Publication section.\u00a0 More information on Categories vs Tags<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  10. Preview the post and ensure that everything looks fine.<\/li>\n
  11. Save the draft or publish the post.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Adding a new Publication<\/h3>\n

    1. Follow the same steps as adding a new post.<\/li>\n
    2. In the content section, you can add documents using the Add Media button. \"Add<\/li>\n
    3. You can add media from your computer, from your media library<\/a>, or from an external url.<\/li>\n
    4. Add a title, caption, and a description; link to the File Url and Insert it into the post.<\/li>\n
    5. At last, ensure that the ‘Pubications’ category is selected for this post.<\/li>\n
    6. Save or Publish the post.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
